The French Beginner course will provide an introductory exposure to the language, allowing you to gather sufficient knowledge to start writing and communicating at a basic level once completed.
Introduction:
- Alphabet, Pronunciation and accents.
Speaking:
- Comprehension of basic greetings, dialogues and brief presentations about yourself and families.
Numerals:
- Writing numbers up to 50.
- Counting orally up to 70.
Concepts of Time & Date:
- Reading the time, Learning the days of the week and the months of the year.
- Situating events in relation to others.
- Understanding the cyclical aspects of certain phenomena (i.e. the seasons)
Grammar:
- Basic grammar and vocabulary.
- Express ownership or possession: être and avoir.
- Approach to regular verbs in present tense.
- Short compositions.
Interaction:
- Objects, Colours and Shapes.
